If you downloaded the 32-bit mysql community edition for leopard, you’ll find it in /usr/local/mysql/bin

if you made the incredibly bad move of downloading the 64-bit mysql community edition, you’ll find it in the same place.

i’ve tried your suggestions (and others found on google) but I can’t seem to locate mysql_conf…

typing ‘locate mysql_conf’ in terminal returns nothing. Any chance you know why there’s no mysql_conf on my system?
